A conference for the countries from the former republics of the Soviet Union

On the 10-th of September 2008 FIFPro organised a meeting in Moscow with the Russian Union of Football Players and Coaches for representatives of players from Azerbaijan, Byelorussia, Kazachstan, Ukraine and Russia. The purpose of the meeting was to give more detailed information to the representatives of the players concerning the formation of a trade union for players and all the relevant aspects to that effect.

Comprehensive information was also given on the FIFPro itself and last but not least a long discussion took place on the regulations concerning arbitration in case of disputes between clubs and players, both at the national level and the international level (FIFA DRC).

The participants were very enthusiastic about the programme. The next meeting will take place at the FIFPro house in the spring of 2009.
