FIFPro supports Russian Professional Football PlayersFIFPro decided at their General Assembly that it is fully behind the proposals that are made in a letter by the Russian Professional Football Players to the Football Union and Football Premier League.
More than 200 players of the Russian Premier League of all 16 Premier League Clubs signed a collective letter containing proposals that have to be included in the new Regulations on Status and Transfer of Players as these Regulations will be adopted very soon.
The proposals send to the Russian Football Union and Russian Premier League are:
- To cancel the rising rate of the young players’ compensations calculation.
- To reduce the age of the player’s training compensations from 23 to 21.
- To establish the fixed training compensation amount on the basis of the average football player’s education and training costs and not on the income that he receives.
- To establish a minimal monthly salary after the age of 17.
- To establish the expiry dates of the contracts between Players and clubs concurrent with the summer and winter transfer windows terms.
- To obligatory introduce the pre-term termination of the Player-Agents contract by the Football Player. Compensation is calculated on the basis of the Players contract with the Football Club that was signed with these Agents’ participation.
- To include the representatives of the Union of Football Players and Coaches, recognized by FIFPro into the Football Union’s of Russia Dispute Resolution Chamber and Russia Executive Committee in the number equal to the number of Club’s representatives.
- To ensure the labour code’s rules and regulations fulfilment. In particular , the labour contracts where the insurance covering serious injuries or total loss of work ability is not stated should not be registered. The insurance beneficiary should be the football player.
- To establish the solidarity mechanism our suggestion of paying 5% from each player’s transfer inside Russia to the football school that has contributed to the player’s training and education as it is provided by the FIFA Rules and Regulations.
