Union of Football Players and Coaches of Russia launched a campaign ‘We Choose Fair Football’

According to the Russian football players, the corruption is the main force that prevents the development of our football.

Fixed matches do not only poison our football, but also make out of  players’ career a misery, put the coaches into the humiliating position and deny the supporters joy.
  
We do not want to remain silent and pretend that this problem does not exist.

We need changes and we strike first.

Union of Football Players and Coaches launches a campaign ‘We choose Fair Football’.

During the year 2009 on the internet, radio and television you will see the promo-videos where the football players and coaches addressing to the football community will declare their position regarding the football corruption.

Sergey Ignashevich, Dmitry Hohlov, Vladimir Gabulov, Jury Krasnojan, Valery Nepomnyashiy, Alexey and Vasily Berezutskys, Rinat Sabitov and many others players of the National Team supported the campaign and wished to participate in it.

We do not accuse anyone; we state that everything that goes on around depends on us. Everyone has the opportunity to make a choice.

We want the players to stop being afraid to stand up against the football corruption and to repulse to those, who make our football outdated and weak.
We will support all those who will fight against the fixed matches.

We understand the total elimination of corruption is the very long process. But the one who is walking will get through the way and everyone will get only benefits: supporters, clubs and players.

We invite mass-media, players and coaches to join our campaign.
